We made it to LA!!

It was raining cats and dogs when we left St. Louis this morning, but it was bright and sunny as we flew into LA. Sydney loved the plane ride. She asked me, "When are we going to blast off?" several times as we were waiting for take off. Then as the plane sped down the runway she let out a big "WooooHooo". The flight was uneventful--which was a good thing. Sydney finally fell asleep as we touched down in LA, and we had to wake her up. Needless to say the trip through the airport wasn't too pretty. We made it to our hotel around 2:00 LA time. It is in a fun area within a block of the Kodak theater(where they have the Academy Awards), Grauman's Chinese theater (home to many red carpet premieres), and within view of the "HOLLYWOOD" sign. We ate lunch/dinner at UWink--a restaurant where you order your food via a touch screen at your table. It was neat, but I don't think we'll be going back. We did a little sight seeing of the area before Sydney's exhaustion kicked in. Syd is about asleep, and Alan is off to the grocery store. Tomorrow we meet with Dr. Reinisch.
I want to thank you for all the prayers and support. They really mean a lot!!

So glad you made it there safely and are settling in well. Sounds like Sydney had a great plane ride. We are all praying for her surgery and your stay there.

A Hollywood adventure...I hope all is well today. Have some fun, and a tea party. I know that all will go well.

Love the Blog...

Love you guys...

I know it is not easy to go through these trials..

James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Romans 5:1-5 NKJ Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Be assured His grace and mercy will keep you.

Be safe...

Roger and Karen send their love and prayers. It sounds like you are staying in exactly the same hotel we stayed in when we were in L.A. about 3 years ago. We are so glad you are able to have fun time before surgery time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you tomorrow. By reading the info on your blog we can tell you are in the best hands ever.
