Back to the Beach

Sydney playing with her dolls before we left for the beach.

The Pacific Ocean

Sydney tries to chase down a seagull.

Today was a lazy day. Sydney wanted to go shopping so we went back out to the Grove to do some window shopping only (heaven forbid if that kid ever gets a credit card when she is older). There we discovered the Farmer's Market which consisted of numerous places to eat and shop. One could dine on anything from traditional American to Korean, French, or Cajun food. You could also shop for fresh produce, wine, baked goods and meat. One shop even had fresh rabbit for $8.95/pound. Then we went to the beach for a couple of hours and called it a day. As you can see, Sydney is back to her old self. This week has been long and we are ready to come home. Ian has had fun staying with Grandma and Grandpa but is ready for us to come home as well and is anxiously awaiting our return. Sydney has one more appointment with Dr. Reinisch tomorrow and then it's time to pack our bags.

glad to see you could enjoy the beach. (It's not that warm in Quincy.) It's a good sign to see people getting "back to their old self"; hope that getting back home will help also. Day 18 no coffee and no chocolate, I may have to give something else up since I'm getting used to this! Still holding you all in prayer, your journey isn't over yet.

Tell me you're kidding Brooke- afraid of Danny B after everything you've been through with Syd and driving it LA! Sydney's ear looks totally amazing even if it is swollen. Wow, what modern day science can do. I haven't run into dwl yet to see if he is truly doing well with the coffee and choc. thing but I know he'd give up alot just to have you all home and Sydney's surgery to be a success. We all would. Can't wait to see you all-we miss you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah! Not much longer and everyone will be home and back together. Sleeping in your own bed will be so nice. We are glad everything is going so well. Sydney's new ear looks fantastic! We will continue to pray for continued healing and a safe and relaxing(esp for Alan) trip home.

I will be anxious to see all your pictures and hear all about the trip at Bible study.

Travel safely!
