CA Science Center and Downtown Disney

Today we decided to go to the CA science center in downtown LA. All I can say is that we weren't impressed. It was a huge building that seemed rather empty. We went to 1 gallery before Sydney got hungry. We ate at the science center and then proceeded to the gift shop. That was the highlight of the trip. After that we went to Downtown Disney, a shopping area right outside of Disney Land. It was a nice area with a lot of neat restaurants and some fun shops--Lego store, Liby Lu, the biggest Disney store I've ever seen, and a few more. That's about all for today. Tomorrow is another bandage change with Dr. R., and hopefully a hair washing--I'm sure that won't be too fun.

Good luck tomorrow with the bandage changing. We hope everything else is going well. Give Syd a big hug and kiss from us. We will keep you in our prayers.

The pictures of Sydney's new ear are amazing. Clearly you are dealing with a very skilled surgeon. We look forward to seeing Sydney's bright smile back at church. The children's message is not the same without her - and Ian, too. Everyone misses you two as well. Good luck with the bandage changing and the hairwashing - I can imagine that drama. I guess Sydney will need a new retro hairdo for a while. Take care!

drug rep brought coffee today--and is now praying for you too. Day 15 and I'm sure this is starting to feel like an ordeal to you. Keep in mind that we know this isn't easy for any of you--especially dressing change day--and we are still praying for you for peace, comfort, healing, and love. Thanks for keeping the blog going! And if you get real bored and have seen enough disney stores, go downtown to Olvera street (park at Union Station across the street) and check out the mexican shops and 2 beautiful old churches. And have a cheap giant burrito.
