We'll miss you Popcorn Grandma.

Today my Grandma Bockenfeld passed away. The kids called her "Popcorn Grandma" because she always had carmel corn ready for them when we came to visit. She loved when the kids would give her hugs and kisses and "perform" for her. We love you Popcorn Grandma!!! We will miss you, but know that you are in heaven with Jesus.

So here is the interesting thing; I never knew that Wilma was your Grandmother. I have known your grandma forever. Grandma and Grandpa Stupavsky lived down the road from Wilma and Joe since I can remember. I remember your grandfather after he came back home from the hospital and had his hospital bed in the front room of the house on Rim Road. I remember your Grandma after he passed away because we used to go visit with her. We would all walk up to her house and visit and we knew what a cool lady she was! Then of course my family wanted to fix her up with my Grandfather when my Grandma died. Neither one of them were comfortable with that. They were friends for so long that they didn't know anything else. So they remained friends until my Grandpa "Packer" died. When we heard that Wilma died, all of us had an inner sadness come out. My mother and my aunts wanted me to extend their sincere sympathy for your loss since you won't be here. They, and all of us kids, will always think very highly and lovingly of Grandma Wilma. Someday we will have to share stories of this wonderful lady we both knew that I had no idea that was related to you. I am soooo sorry for your loss!!
