As Sydney begins what will be the first of many surgeries, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our families and friends for the love, prayers, and support that has been given to us. A very special thanks to the entire Blessing family including my staff, colleagues, and administration whose support, thoughtfulness, and generosity is greatly appreciated.

Sydney is our beautiful little girl born in 2004. Sydney was born with Treacher-Collins Syndrome. In September 2008, she underwent the first of three ear reconstruction surgeries under the care of Dr. John Reinisch at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Her final surgery took place in May 2009. This blog is a chronicle of that journey.

I love the pictures on the beach. I have been there and I know how much you must have enjoyed it. I will keep you all in my prayers. God bless Sydney and her surgeon.
still praying for you! Could really use a cup of coffee since it's monday am (I said a prayer for Sydney instead. God's grace IS sufficient). I was feeling really sorry for my self yesterday, beautiful day outside and I was sick in bed all day. Then I remembered what you are going through and decided I could cowboy up and go to work today.
It's 9:30 ILL time so you are probably just getting going on the west coast.
BTW My daughter Julie lives in West Hollywood; we did the santa monica pier last october, still have fond memories (the amusement park was closed that day too, but it was shut down completely...no pvt party or nuthin.) Hope you are holding up ok. Still praying.

I'll be keeping Sydney in my prayers as she goes through the reconstruction. I hope you and Allen are well...be assured we are all thinking of you. Thanks for sharing the great pictures. I havent had the opportunity to spend any time in California, but it looks beautiful. I look forward to hearing about the success of the trip out West.
